Dreamland BBQ Sauce

This is a very famous joint in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

1 (28 ounce) can tomato pur?e
1/3 cup yellow mustard
3 cups water
1 1/2 cups cider vinegar
1/4 cup dark corn syrup
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper, coarsely ground
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Whisk together tomato puree and mustard until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients and bring to boil.

Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve this sauce warm.
